Summary

This chapter should have given you an overview of how to create a basic user interface according to best practices and you also learned about some of the major new development features in Dynamics AX 2012.

You should now be able to create forms, reports, menu items, menus, and navigation pages. Although the examples I have showed you so far are very simple, I hope that they trigger your curiosity to play around and try to change parameters in order to see how they affect the result. Basically, this is how you will broaden your knowledge with the possibilities and hopefully few limitations of AX.

In the next chapter, we will look at how to retrieve data using views, queries, and select statements.
