Summary

In this chapter, you have seen how to trigger the standard functionality in AX, which is normally done manually using a code. Being able to automate processes and extend the standard functionality will most likely be something that you will do over and over again if you work with customer development.

You should now know how the main tables and the transactional tables in the inventory, Ledger, AR, and AP modules are related to each other.

In the The inventory module section, you learned how to find an inventory dimension, how to find the current inventory stock for an item, how to find the inventory stock for an item by a specific date, and how to enter and post an inventory journal.
