At some point, you might get a new idea of creating a fantastic module in AX that solves some of the difficulties your customers might be having; there are a couple of things that we need to bear in mind, and we will cover the following points in this chapter:

As you have learned in Chapter 4, Data User Interaction, a module in AX should have its own area page that contains menu items grouped by the following subgroups that are added to the menu element for the module:
Places
Common forms
Journals
Reports
Inquiry
Periodic
Setup
The Places and Common forms groups are added automatically based on the content of the menu, but the other groups have to be added manually.
