Conclusion

One of our primary objectives in writing this book was to demystify advanced analytics for an audience of senior managers, executives, and those in non-technical leadership positions. We have seen far too many cases in which the technical team is holding all the cards when it comes to implementing an advanced analytics solution, and the management team is at a distinct disadvantage due to a lack of understanding of the playing field, the technologies involved, and the art of the possible. Even when the technical and management teams are on the same side, disconnects in their fundamental understanding of a project can lead to huge problems down the road.
