Receiving a call

When you receive a phone call, your iPhone can play a sound (called a ringtone) and/or vibrate to provide you with additional haptic feedback in case you don't hear the ringtone. When you receive a call, your iPhone will display the calling phone number (or the name of the caller, if you previously stored that person's name and phone number in the Contacts app).

If your iPhone is currently locked, you'll see a screen asking you to swipe to answer the call, as shown in Figure 4.11:

If your iPhone is unlocked and you receive a call, you'll see a slightly different screen that gives you the option of accepting or declining the call, as shown in Figure 4.12:
