Everything we have discussed so far has been based on the user being online. In this section, we are going to cover how a user can continue to have access to their files while being disconnected or offline.

Having the Horizon Workspace Agent installed on your endpoint device enables this feature. The Horizon Agent is available for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X.

The agent can be downloaded by clicking on the down arrow next to the username (1) and then clicking on Download Horizon (2), as shown in the following screenshot:

The download link will direct you to the appropriate operating system depending on the device from which you are currently accessing your Horizon Workspace. In this case, it will direct us to the Windows download.

The next step is to install the agent. We are going to do this manually by performing the following steps, but you could include this as part of a desktop build:
