Building Websites with Microsoft Content Management Server
In this chapter we learned how the out-of-the-box workflow processes operate in MCMS. You have seen how authors create and submit their work to editors. You should have an idea of how editors can be employed to approve the content of postings. Lastly, you have seen firsthand how the workflow changes when moderators are added into the picture. Moderators approve changes to a posting's properties and location, while editors approve changes to a posting's placeholder content.
In reality, workflow systems are typically more complicated than the examples shown in this chapter. In Chapter 16, we show you how the workflow can be extended to cater for almost any scenario that exists in the workplace today.
