How to secure your installation


In this section, you learn how to secure your CMS Made Simple installation. We will not discuss how to secure the web hosting server as this is a stuff for the web hosting provider. If you host your website on your own, then you should know how to secure the server in general. If you host on a shared hosting or a managed server, then your provider would do it for you and you don't need to worry about it. Let's see what the provider will not do for you.

The first rule for a secure website is to upgrade CMS Made Simple and its modules regularly. Every time a new version of CMS Made Simple is released, run the upgrade as soon as possible.
