To use our new control in a WITD, we need to go back to the process template, add a new field, and then set the control to be our control.
Start off by opening the ProductBacklogItem.xml
WITD, which you should be able to locate in the path C:\ProcessTemplates\Microsoft Visual Studio Scrum 2013\WorkItem Tracking\TypeDefinitions
. Next, add a new field called Unplanned Work
with a reference name MyCompany.UnplannedWork
and the type as String
. For the rules of this field, add a DEFAULT
value of False
and allowed values of True
and False
. Your field definition should look like this:
