External access and guest access to Microsoft Teams

External access in Microsoft Teams can be achieved in two ways. If the scope is limited only to chats and calls, then external access should be okay to allow. However, if users want to have complete collaboration capabilities to give access to channels and files in channels, then Azure AD guest access is the right choice.
