This chapter describes the BI platform architecture and the systems and servers involved in it. We will identify the requirements and then, based on our findings, plan a deployment. Later in this chapter, we will also see some deployment and configuration options and steps for SAP BusinessObjects 4.2. We will look to understand proper deployment strategy and the factors that we should consider during deployment.
