In this chapter, you learned the fundamentals of the Haxe language and started learning about how to build games with HaxeFlixel. You then applied those skills to build the foundation of the game you'll continue to improve over the course of this book.

To get a better understanding of how everything works, feel free to play around with the game's variables to change the gameplay experience. Even though the game is very simple, you can change things pretty drastically!
In the next chapter, we're going to set up the game's screen flow and some of the basic user interface elements that we'll need. We'll also look at some low-impact effects that can easily bring the game to life quickly.
