Showing a map within a page
Presenting a map in the external application is a really nice feature that can be implemented in a very easy way. However, it is significantly more interesting to have a map shown directly in your application, isn't it? Fortunately, your applications can use the MapControl
control to achieve this goal, as you will see in this recipe and a few following recipes.
As an example, you will create a page with the map and two buttons. The first will show Rzeszow Castle on the map, while the other makes it possible to present the airport located near Rzeszow. What is more, just after opening the page, the map will be centered in a specified location with a given zoom level. You will also see how to enable or disable the presentation of various features on the map. Let's start!
