Setting up CDP – the I/O filter
To protect your workloads with CDP, you need to install the I/O filter on the cluster where the VMs reside. As we covered in the Understanding CDP and what it is section, the source host and target host.
Important Note
Should you have vSphere Lifecycle Management enabled, you need to follow the instructions to install the I/O filter, and then another Veeam KB, located at https://www.veeam.com/kb4096.
In order to install the CDP I/O filter, you need to navigate to the console on the Veeam Backup & Replication server under the Manage Servers tab. Here, you will see your vCenter server:
Now, right-click on the vCenter server and select Manage I/O Filters... or use the button in the toolbar:
