Chapter 3. Getting to Know Your Wiki

Now that we have MediaWiki installed on the server, we get the chance to really get hands-on with it and make some changes. Before we start creating pages, we need to learn a few things about the layout of MediaWiki. Also, we need to take some preliminary steps to customize the wiki not only to make it our own, but also to make sure that no one gets in to deface it while we are still learning the ins and outs of the software.
