Adding new jQuery Mobile pages and objects

The jQuery Mobile starter page comes with four pages, and links to four pages. A nice number, but what if you want to have five, six, or seven pages?

If you need to add more "pages", copy, paste, and slightly edit (change the page numbers) the fairly easily recognizable sections of HTML code that define each "page". As you customize the content, toggle Live View on and off to see how the page will look in a browser, or as an app, using the Window Size popup to define the preview environment.

Creating new data-role pages by copying code

Here are the things you need to do to as you copy and paste to create new pages:

Copy and paste a link in the list at the top of the page, and change the link so that the link target is the new "page". So, for example, when you create a page 5, that code will be added to the list after page 4, like this:
