Editing reports to display Foreign Currency values
When it's time to review reports that include entries that have been recorded in a foreign currency, balances report in the home currency by default. Imagine that you have suppliers in different currencies. Customizing reports can make life so much easier when checking the foreign amounts that are due to be paid.
It's not possible to customize all reports, and reports that display a summary will often only be reported in the home currency. If we run an Accounts Payable Ageing Summary report, we are limited regarding the customizations we can make.
However, if we run an Accounts Payable Ageing Detail or Unpaid Bills report, a lot more options become available when it comes to customization.
Let's take the Unpaid Bills report as an example. Using the Customize option, we can make some simple changes, as follows:
