In this chapter we looked at the various functions available from the Web Author. Web Author is the main way that your users will add and edit content on your website. We saw the lists of actions available from the Web Author Console, which provide a range of actions that you can perform on channels and postings.
We went on to edit the Hibiscus posting, experiencing first-hand what authoring with the HTML placeholder, single-image placeholder, and single-attachment placeholder is like. We added text, inserted tables, created hyperlinks, added images and attachments to our postings, and published the changes to the live site.
Next, we created more postings for the PlantCatalog
channel and saw how the Production Manager and Approval Assistant help us to keep tabs on the items that are moving along the publishing workflow, giving us a list of postings in production as well as postings that are waiting for our approval.
