Before you start this activity, be sure to have the link to the page you want to promote handy. You may have it ready to go, if you've pasted the URL into your clipboard. Alternatively, just start a new browser session and keep the promotional page open in another window.
1. Bookmark and log on to Google's URL Builder page at http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55578.
2. Enter the link to the page you want to promote in the Website URL field.
3. Continue by entering
twitterunder the Campaign Source, since you'll be pointing your Twitter followers through that site. Entertweetunder Campaign Medium, as that is the method with which you promote your page. Last, give this promotion a name under Campaign Name. For example, if you're launching your site, give it a name oflaunch, as shown in the following screenshot:
