Chapter 4. Value and Potential for End Users

After a Monday morning breakfast at home, I usually drive to my office, which is very close to the very nice area of Redmond, WA in the United States. As it is the usual morning rush hour to work for most people in the Microsoft town, it is a painfully slow journey along the roads. This happens when you work in an area where there are more than 45,000 people working for the same company. There are many useful technologies for intense waiting times like this, for example speech/voice recognition, mobile working/computing, and many others. When I arrive at the office, I turn on my laptop to check e-mails and upcoming events for the day. Most of the time, I find my schedule longer and more intensive than I would like it to be.
