Summary


Every IT infrastructure or telecommunication services project in the face of major changes needs to have a very strong business case. Companies who have integrated unified communications successfully in their organization achieved a real cost saving or satisfaction factor through better communication tools, better interfaces for customers, and so on. They had gone through detailed planning and addressed all the key areas of the existing environment. For some organizations, these are savings from non-major business travel through the use of video conferencing; other companies implemented UC to have a faster and more cost-efficient communication workflow with their customers. It is very important to do your homework based on the key areas that are important for your organization, and go through each cost saving or efficiency factor to build a strong business justification and case for your project proposal, which eventually needs to be approved by the stakeholders and management.
