In this chapter, we will look from a technological point at Microsoft's current unified communications solution, Lync Server, in detail. It is important to highlight that Microsoft offers detailed documentation and online curriculums for Lync 2013 deployment design, implementation, and troubleshooting. It should be noted that technology is always a snapshot as it is always rapidly changing and evolving within a short period of time.
