The role of a UC solution


A UC solution must enable the communication and collaboration of people who are at separate locations. This is necessary because many companies, increasingly, require mobility for employees, so effective communication and collaboration must also be able to take place outside the office environment. Another reason for this mobility is to create a better or more flexible work environment in the company. Many organizations change their model so as to allow home office for certain business areas or divisions. Many international studies show that by allowing information workers to work from anywhere, anytime (which includes working from home) increases the efficiency of an organization. If your organization is considering this step, you would also need to think about the company policy for mobile working.
