The main idea of the sections that we covered was to get you used to writing formulas and to let you know that there is nothing to be afraid of. We took baby steps in our initial sections and then took bigger and bigger steps in each subsequent section. We were able to use some of Excel's built-in functions to clean our data and got a good feel for the conditional formulas. I hope that you were blown away by the if/else/then statements presented in the later sections in this chapter. From entering data to developing intelligent spreadsheets, we have covered a lot of ground in a short amount of chapters. In Chapter 5, Analyzing Your Data Using Descriptive Statistics and Charts, we will use the knowledge from the previous chapters and finally get started with analyzing data.
