Technical requirements

In case you haven’t yet, make sure you download the book materials from our repository at https://github.com/PacktPublishing/Learn-Azure-Synapse-Data-Explorer. You can download the full repository by selecting Code, and then Download ZIP, or by cloning the repository using your Git client of choice.

For the examples in this chapter, we will use a simplified version of the drone telemetry dataset. This simplified version contains the same number of rows as the original dataset but with only 10 columns (compared to 30 in the full dataset). This version of the dataset will make it simpler to create all the tables and data mappings we will need in the examples in this chapter.

You can find this dataset in the Chapter 05\drone-telemetry-simplified.zip compressed file of the book repository. Make sure you extract the content of this file, drone-telemetry-simplified.csv, to a local folder on your computer.
