Summary


In this chapter, we looked closely at the flow graph, CryENGINE's visual scripting system. You learned about using dynamic EntityIds to create complex flow graphs, flow graph shortcuts, and different ways to create new flow graph nodes. We also looked at how embedding flow graphs inside prefabs adds more flexibility to flow graph scripting.

With this deeper insight into the features and the functionalities of the flow graph, you will be able to script more complex game logic in a very short amount of time. In the next chapter, you will get an introduction into the facial animation system of CryENGINE and learn how to set up your character for lip synching.
