Blender has the capability to merge two UV bakes into a single image. However, to use this, you do require a capable graphics card that supports GLSL real-time rendering. These cards tend to be expensive and may not be installed on your computer. I therefore want to show how the same task can be achieved in a paint package such as GIMP. There are other advantages to this method in that you have more control over color correction, and image manipulation than in Blender. I will show in Chapter 8 how Blender can be used for some direct paint tasks but for this recipe, we will take the original front-face.png
