Summary

In this chapter, we looked at common value realization opportunities within organizations and how ServiceNow’s capabilities can be used to capture these value opportunities. We also looked at how careful pre-planning can make transformations more successful when they occur. Common themes that enable success for all value opportunities include establishing clear governance, identifying metrics and measurables to create quantifiable goals and objectives, and having concrete ideas on what should be changed in the target state compared to the current state.

In the next chapter, we will look at a broader collection of these optimizing factors that you should be aware of so that your transformation has the greatest return on investment and chance of success.
