In the previous project, creating a hand weapon was a great introduction to the modeling techniques required to continuously increase the difficulty level of your projects. It's time to start working on our second Incredible Machine, and for this second project we will be manipulating a bigger object. The main objective for this second part of the book is to create a steampunk spacecraft with even smaller details and more UV mapping techniques to add more realism to the model.
Before we actually begin working on the model, let's make clear the difference between a regular spacecraft and a steampunk spacecraft. Although both of them are based on science fiction, the steampunk spacecraft has a few important characteristics that differ from a regular hi-tech spacecraft.
