This chapter is about the 'nitty-gritty of uploading and displaying our materials in Moodle. We need to ensure that everything works for our pupils and teaching colleagues. I don't mean this in a technical sense with respect to the Internet connection—that's our admin's job. However, we have to be certain about our worksheets, slideshows, photos, and other resources—all of which should be easily accessible regardless of the type of computer that people use.
In this chapter, we're going to help a student, Joe, who can't view our worksheets and PowerPoint presentations at home. We're also going to advise a colleague, Liz, who is new to Moodle and wants help with displaying her teaching materials. We shall:
Provide our students with an alternative way of viewing worksheets and slideshows if they don't have Microsoft Word or PowerPoint
Learn how to display word-processed files in a way everyone can see them
Make it easier for our classes to watch our slideshow presentations...
