The model is almost ready to receive materials and textures, but there are a few details like the cockpit that requires a few extra details. For instance, we still have to close the cockpit area. In this section of the project, we will use a trick to create a new shape based on a selection. This will allow us to use a shape to create another, making the process a lot easier.
The first step is to select the edge pointed in the following image:
Turn the snap tool on and extrude the edge until it closes the upper part of the cockpit. Now, select the three edges pointed in the left image (section A). The trick now will be to duplicate the edges with the Shift+D keys and then cancel the placement of the copies by using the Esc key. The copies will still be selected, and with them selected, we will press the P key (section B). This key will separate the objects into two, and for us, the selected option will be enough to create a new object based on the selected edges...
