Now comes one of my favorite aspects of Spotfire. Its extensibility! One of the main advantages of Spotfire is that it's highly extensible and customizable. It can also be easily embedded into other applications.
This is a huge topic that could fill an entire book on its own, so think of this chapter as an introduction to the capabilities and the art of the possible. I'll point out what you can do and the basics of how to do it, with references to various resources along the way.
