Summary

Packaging and deployment is an essential step in the development process. The configuration and the build script should be written at the time of the development itself. This chapter briefed about the packaging and deployment process for an Electron application. We had already discussed the rest of the development workflow process in the previous chapters. With the modern tools, such as Electron builder, it's super easy to package an application for all major platforms. This cannot be achieved with traditional desktop application development methods in other languages. This is the time to replace the traditional desktop application for your business application. Especially with the rise of Angular and React, the JavaScript development has crossed its border. So, it's quite worth on using this kind of technologies, which saves a lot of development efforts.
