Chapter 6. Using Node.js with Electron

Node.js is an open source JavaScript runtime environment, which also provides the base line for Electron and its runtime. Both technologies are built on top of Google's V8 JavaScript engine and share a lot of common functionalities. Electron leverages us to use the Node.js inside the renderer process or web page directly without any extra effort. So, with Electron, you have the full power of Node.js and its runtime, which gives you enough flexibility to create powerful desktop applications with full access to the native desktop environment.
