Part 3:Practicing Politics
The first two parts work well if the software group is aligned, if the goals are shared, if everyone believes that a rising tide lifts all boats, if everyone understands each other’s role, and if there is no insecurity. Sadly, most organizations like that have three or fewer employees, one of which is a life partner, and another is a dog. For the rest of us, we need tools to communicate, and set expectations, and boundaries. Part 3, is about creating the environment where Part 1 and Part 2 can thrive.
