Developing adoption strategies


We have already seen how gamification is a change management initiative that doesn't have a predefined formula for successful user adoption. While a good design and clear definition of reward structure is critical to basic adoption, a specific strategy needs to be in place to drive employee engagement within an enterprise.

The typical steps include:

  1. Promoting awareness

  2. Helping with tips

  3. Starting with incentives

  4. Spotting moderators and evangelists

  5. Publishing success stories

Promoting awareness

Any initiative needs good amount of marketing and propaganda in the first place to attract the right amount of attention from all parties involved. Targeted marketing campaigns can be launched to promote the initiative internally within the organization.

Helping with tips

The employees should be able to seamlessly jumpstart with the system once rolled out. Step-by-step tips or illustrations on getting started would help to get the community on board at least once. From there on...
