Summary

In this chapter, we looked at shell scripting and SQL management. First, we covered the basics of shell scripting. Next, we worked our way through writing scripts using for loops. This was followed by using the while loop. We finished off with if statements in scripts.

Next, we worked with SQL management. First, we installed the MySQL repository, and then we installed the community-server edition of MySQL. This was followed by securing our mysql server. Then, we dove into the creation of a database, followed by creating a table. We then started to manage the data in the table by using a variety of techniques; we finished by creating additional tables, in order to demonstrate inner joins.

I've had an awesome time compiling every chapter in this book. I'm confident that you will learn a lot from this as you move forward with your career. I want to thank you for...
