Creating BI workspaces


It is possible to create a BI workspace through the Applications menu:

Getting ready

In the BI workspace screen, there are several main parts. The entire idea, in a nutshell, is to select the modules required and drag them into the empty workspace area:

On the left-hand side of the screen, we can find the main Module Library, which is divided into the following main module subjects:

  • Templates: This contains the basic template frames, such as Viewer (good for data display based on reports), Navigation List, Text Module, and Web Page Module

  • BI Launch Pad Modules: This contains the main report custom folders, such as My Recently Run Documents, My Recently Viewed Documents, My Alerts, and My Applications (most of them already exist in the BI launch pad main welcome window)

  • Public modules: This is a shortcut to the reports and objects that are located in the public folders

  • Private modules: This contains shortcuts to the user's private folders and reports
