In this exercise, you will import animations into the course. These animations are Flash and HTML5 animations that have been created in external applications such as Adobe Animate CC. The main difference between a Flash animation and an HTML5 animation is where and how these animations can be played back.
To read and play a Flash animation, your browser needs the Adobe Flash player plug-in and the Captivate file needs to be published in Flash. While there is nothing wrong with Flash technology, remember that it is not available on mobile devices. Flash is a no-go if you want to deploy your eLearning courses on tablets and Smartphones. HTML5 animations use technologies that are natively supported by web browsers. So an HTML5 animation does not need any plug-in to be played back and is therefore supported on any device.
