It's time for the next object in this chapter: the Video file. Captivate allows you to insert various types of video files, including .flv, .avi, .mov, and .mp4 files. However, Captivate will always convert your videos to .mp4 upon publishing, because the .mp4 video file format is compatible with both the HTML5 and the Flash player.
It is not Adobe Captivate that handles the conversion of your video files to the .mp4 file format. This task is taken care of by the Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 behind the scenes. Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 is included in Adobe Captivate 2017 installation package.
In this exercise, you will insert a new slide in the Take the Train project and add a video file to it:
- Return to the Chapter03/takeTheTrain.cptx file.
- Use the Filmstrip to go to slide 19.
- Click the Slide | Blank Slide icon on the Toolbar to create a new blank slide...
