Catalogs in the learner experience

In this section, you will log in to your account as a learner and inspect how the work done in the previous sections impacts the learner experience. As you do so, remember the following:

  • You have two custom catalogs enabled on your ALM account and you have disabled the Default Catalog
  • One catalog is available to all internal users, while the other one is available to all external users
  • Some courses are included in only one of the two catalogs, others are included in both catalogs, and some courses are not included in either catalog
  • Some learners already enrolled in, started, or even completed courses before you created the custom catalogs and disabled the Default Catalog

With that in mind, let’s head to the learner experience to examine the impact of the two custom catalogs built earlier in this chapter:

  1. Log in to your account as Learner 01.
  2. Once logged in, click the Go To Catalog link on the home page...
