Compatibility


While ServiceNow itself, being as it runs on a ServiceNow server somewhere out there on the internet, doesn't require much in the way of compatibility, and can be accessed from just about any system with a web browser and an active internet connection. However, every browser has subtle nuances and tricks to how it executes client-side code. For this reason, most web applications recommend a particular web browser which renders the application most effectively, and most closely adheres to modern web standards. In the case of ServiceNow, the recommended web browser is Google Chrome.

While there was a time when Internet Explorer was required for many web applications, there are few good reasons to use it nowadays, unless your web app requires some proprietary and potentially insecure plugin such as ActiveX.
