Creating videos from still images and text

You may find yourself in a situation where you need to post videos but are without video footage. This exercise will take you through the process of adding motion to still images to create the illusion of motion.

Setting up a duplicate document

Follow these steps:

  1. With the VideoWoodland-A document still open and active, go to ImageDuplicate. When the dialog appears, name the duplicate file StillWoodland-A and then click OK.
  2. Go to FileSave As, browse to the 07-Motion folder, and save the document as a PSD file. Then, close the original file – that is, VideoWoodland-A.
  3. Left-click on each of the MPEG-4 video clips in the timeline and delete them by pressing the Del or Backspace key.
  4. Change the name of the Footage video group to Logo from the Layers panel. Then, click on the Media button adjacent to the Logo group in the Timeline panel and select New video group. Change the name of the new group...
