Appendix C: Keyboard Shortcuts

A keyboard shortcut is a multi-key combination (pressed together) that performs certain commands instantly. This bypasses the need for you to lift your hand from the keyboard and navigate over to the ribbon, spending more time searching for an icon from tab to tab. This happens to all of us.

In this context, keyboard shortcuts provide a fast and alternative way to perform the same command from the keyboard directly. You will be perfectly familiar with the Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V shortcuts to copy and paste, respectively. Shortcuts improve productivity and help retain your flow when working on complex schedules. They can also be useful to users with vision and mobility challenges.
