Summary
In this chapter, we covered the franchise framework based on SAP Business ONE technologies. We started out with the project plan and evaluated the required steps to plan for growth. The project plan needs to account for the right tasks to accomplish our goals. Based on this project plan, the basic processes that are common for the franchise business model were defined. Specifically, the unique aspects were highlighted, such as the multilevel sales organization and the connection to a central distribution center. We covered the most common terms related to large-scale Business ONE rollouts. As part of this, we explained the historical evolution of SAP products and their current position. Managing growth in a franchise environment means that we want to add new sales locations that are seamlessly integrated with the central headquarters. We covered this aspect by means of templates.
