The integrated system approach allows required information from all customer touch points to be utilized in order to improve the sales methodology. In addition, the information can be translated into specific workflows that enable sales personnel to bring specific opportunities into greater focus.
The integration with inventory, and the utilization of sales stages, can be used to manage growth. For example, the predicted sales can directly determine future inventory levels. This also works the other way round. By focusing on items that are in stock, we can align the sales process towards items that are available and in stock.
In a later chapter, we will integrate a web-based technology with this process. Therefore, the existing platform is ready to expand its reach to more customer touch points using the Web.
