Reviewing electronic mail for messages


This recipe provides you with details of how to review the Electronic Messages that the system generates during batch application processing.

Getting ready

You should associate the employee address book with the JDE login ID in order to receive the Electronic Messages in the employee Work Centre.

How to do it...

  1. 1. Access the Work with Work Center from the Action menu.

  2. 2. Select Electronic Messages, and then click on the Plus sign.

  3. 3. Review the messages that are shown.

  4. 4. Resolve the issues as per the error messages:

How it works...

When you run the batch application, the system sends messages via electronic mail to the Employee Work Center, both when errors occur and when the job has completed normally. Whenever you run the post program, you should review the electronic mail to determine the status of the job. If the job does not finish normally, the system generates error messages.
