Let’s touch on another question. There are high failure rates for data projects in the industry, so we need to think smarter. Say you were to work with an organization just starting its journey. It says it wants to become data-driven: it has data, but it doesn’t really understand how to derive insights. In general, how would you advise it to commence its journey in terms of building its internal capability?
No matter which methodology you use, you need to invest in people, culture, technology, and a certain hierarchy and structure. Do you have any advice on how to commence the journey?
NVO: It would depend on a lot of things because if you focus on the problem, then you need to really try to solve it however you can. You should take into consideration the budget you have, the time you have, and what the desired outcomes are, and that’s all part of the problem.
