Registering Affinity Designer and the welcome panel

In Affinity Designer, two temporary panels may pop up upon opening the application. One is the registration panel and the other is the welcome panel. Let's take a look at them both:

  • The registration panel

The first time you launched Affinity Designer, you may have encountered a registration screen asking you either to register your software or sign in if you have already registered. This is a new feature with version 1.9. It's simply designed to allow you quick access to any past purchases you have made from the online Affinity Store, specific promotions, giveaways, or to make additional purchases from the Affinity Store. You can either Register, Sign in, or click Remind me later to skip it until a later time.

This is a relatively new feature as of the writing of this book and I imagine Serif will be developing it further to include more and more options as Affinity moves forward.

    Internet connection

    One thing to note...
