Chapter 14: Advanced Criteria Definition
In Chapter 12, Capturing and Declaring Applications, Pages, and Items, we learned about declaring the applications, pages, and user interface (UI) controls that are required for the Vendor Invoice Posting business process. In that chapter, we learned about defining criteria for captured elements using data from the Captured Data panel. The criteria definitions used are sufficient to automate the business process that was discussed in the Starting with your first automation project section of Chapter 12, Capturing and Declaring Applications, Pages, and Items. So, the declarations were used to create the SAPInvoicePosting workflow in Chapter 13, Designing Scenarios. More advanced definitions need to be used in situations when more than one control in the page has the same properties in the Captured Data panel or the properties of the control in the Captured Data panel change dynamically for each run of the application.
